Chloe - Class of 2015

Chloe is a senior at Archer High School. She has been one of my dance students since she was 7 years old. I can't believe its already almost time for her to graduate. How the time flies!

I have to admit, when Chloe requested that we do her senior session in July, I was worried about the heat. Senior sessions tend to be lengthy, and I didn't want her red-faced with her hair sticking to the back of her neck 10 minutes into pictures. But it seems we picked the perfect day, because a cool breeze settled into the air, and was even accompanied by the most gorgeous sunset. I wanted these images to have a bit of a bohemian earth-child look to them. As you can see by her adorable wardrobe choices, that style is all her. My goal was for the mood of the images to reflect her style, and the feeling of running around barefoot on a hot summer day. I think we managed to accomplish just that, and had a little fun with sparklers along the way...

Here are a few of my favorite images from Chloe's session:

Snow Queen Stylized Sessions Continued...

Considering the ground is currently covered in a mixture of wet snow and compacted ice, I am stuck at home. How appropriate to spend a few minutes compiling a blog post with my favorite images of the remaining Snow Queen models. I hope you enjoy viewing these images! Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Recent Work: Snow Queen Creative Session

A few months ago, I started dabbling in creative model sessions. For me, this means a specific theme, a model call, hours of hair/make-up/wardrobe, and finally, the actual photo session. It can be a time-consuming process, but I've learned so much from these sessions, and they really remind me of why I love photography. Another plus, it gives these girls an opportunity to get dolled up and have some fun in front of the camera.

On Saturday, I had the first two snow queen model sessions. I've got five more on the way this week, but I thought I would share my favorite images from the first two shoots. These beautiful young ladies did an amazing job, and I'm so happy with how the images turned out!

The first series are of my lovely model, Eve.

And here are the stunning Katie's images....
